In 2002 the playwright Reggie Oliver’s first supernatural fiction story appeared in the journal Weirdly Supernatural (‘The Dreams Of Cardinal Vittorini’). It was an instant success and heralded the arrival of a startling new talent.

Several more short stories followed in other literary journals. All received high praise. Then in 2003 Mr Oliver’s first collection was published to unanimous critical acclaim.

The Dreams Of Cardinal Vittorini & Other Strange Stories was nominated for an International Horror Guild Award. Nine of the stories in this volume received honourable mentions by genre expert Ellen Datlow.
